My Learning Story for hurmanu 4

   Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Today for Hurumanu we were writing our learning story. We were doing it for Hurumanu 4. That is art and write. My teacher for this Hurumanu was Whaea Raewyn. Here is my learning story.

What We Did: 

  •  We did some writing about heroes and villains

  • We did some art like perspective drawing, graffiti and also we did some painting.

  • We were reading a book called Sina and eel.

What I Learned:  

  • I learnt the legend of Sina and the eel

  • How to draw perspective drawing

My Favourite Part:

  • Was the drawing because it was fun.

  • Also, I liked the painting

My Learning Story for hurmanu 2

  Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Today for Hurumanu we were writing our learning story. We were doing it for Hurumanu 2. That is Drama and reading. My teachers for this Hurumanu are Miss Clark and Whaea Raewyn.

What We Did: 

  •  We made freeze frames.

  •  We made a DLO about costal wolves.

  • We made a DLO about a New Zealand native  animals.

What I Learned: 

  •  I learned facts about lots of animals.

  •  I learned how to do a freeze frame.


My Favourite Part:

  •  My favorite part of this hurumanu is learning about costal wolves.

  • Also I liked  the freeze frame.

  •  My next step is to learn how to act better.

My Learning Story for hurumanu 5

 Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Today for Hurumanu we were writing our learning story.We were doing it for Hurumanu 5. That is PE and maths. My teachers for this Hurumanu are miss Tafau and Whaea Raewyn.


My Learning Story

Hurumanu: 5 PE and Maths

Reflection:

What We Did: 

  •  We did some gymnastics in the gym.

  •  We played volleyball.

  • We played multi sport at a class and we also played badminton.

  • In maths, we did measuring angles using a protractor.

  • We did rotations. 

  • We also did refractions.

  •  We learned about nets

  • And finally Isometric drawing.

What I Learned: 

  •   I learned how to draw Isometric shapes.

  • In gymnastics, I learnt how to a cartwheel and this relates to maths because you are rotating 360 degrees.


My Favourite Part:

  •  My favourite part of this hurmanu is muti sport because we got to try new sports and we got to play our favourite sport. 

  •  I also liked drawing isometric shapes and I also did not know how to do this before.


My Next Steps:

  • My next steps are to try to find something challenging for me to do in math. 

  •

The New Zealand Falcon

 Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Today for hurmanu we were looking at a New Zealand native animals. Our teacher gave us some question we needed to answer about our animal. There was also some other questions that were optional. For my animal, I chose the New Zealand Falcon. I made a poster about my animals. Here it is.

We were looking at Chelsea Bremner. Chelsea Bremner is a rugby player that plays for Canterbury She is also a teacher at Hornby high school.  she is 25 years old. Gymnastics

 Hi, guys welcome back to my blog. Today for PE we did  Gymnastics. There are six activities. But I only did two today. I did the mat. For this, we needed to do some handstand cartwheel and more. The second thing we did was the trampoline. One the trampoline we did front flips, backflips and much more. The other four activity was the bar, the beam, parallel bars and the mini-trampoline. My favourite thing was the mini trampoline

Freak The mighty chapter 1-3

  Hi, guys welcome back to my blog. Today for reading we were reading a book called Freak the Mighty. We needed to read to chapter three. After we did that we needed to choose three tasks to do off the board. Here are the three tasks I picked out.


1. Use the white hat and list information about your text.

Maxwell: he lives in his grandmas and grandad attic because he keeps kicking people so he is living alone.

B&E

 Hi, guys welcome back to my blog. Yesterday was the market day we were selling milkshake, our company was called Freshake. We started planing around two weeks ago,the first thing we did was plan what we are going to do, what we need and how much it will cost. 

Next, we needed to complete the business plan so we know what we were doing. The busness plan included what job we did,how it would help the environment and the cost.

  Next, we went on the countdown and found the stuff we needed and made a shopping list. Our milkshake needed to be made fresh so it is cold. We also needed to make a poster so we could put it on the front of the table so people know what the prices are. On the day we made 160$ and spent 20$.So we hade made 140$ profit. 

Freak The Mighty

 Hi, guys welcome back to my blog. today for reading we got to choose a novel to read about. We had about 6 options to choose from. There were lots of good books but the one that stood out for me was Freak the Mighty. Before we read the book we needed for some activities to see if we liked the book.


I first one I did was, read the blurb, here it is.

Maxwell Kane is used to be called stupid. Worse still, everyone says he looks like his fearsome dad. Even his grandparents are a little afraid of him. But then he meets Kevin, who is not afraid of anything. Together with Kevin, the 'midget man" with the biggest brain in the world, Max can handle anything. Together they are Freak the Mighty, ready to slay dragons and rescue damsels in distress. But, as they soon find out, it isn't just damsels who need rescuing...


The second question I did was ...

Open the book to any page and read it. here is what I liked about it.

It was a funny book and was not too hard or easy. It was full of interesting stuff. I think I would like this book.

 Hi, Guys welcome back to my blog. Today for hurmanu 2 we needed to make a copy of the slide show for our self here is my copy. Here is the slide. Last week we played some drama related games called Drama processes. We played seven-up.

For this, we did a picture dictation about a story. We were learning to read a play.  The story was called BULLIES. Here is the picture. The story was about four boys going around bullying people.

What We Did: 

  •  We researched about sleep and how it affects you when you do not get enough sleep. We also made a DLO about sleep

  •   We did a lunch box challenge. This is when we got 20 $ a week to make a healthy lunch with no plastic.

  • We looked at smoking data and if it decreased in New Zeland for if it increased. We also looked at what country smokes the most the and lest.

What I Learned: 

  •  We learned how to use google sheets to make graphs and analyse data.

  •   We learned about what a healthy diet should look like and what we need daily.

  • We also learned how to calculate the mean, median, mode and range. 



My Favourite Part:

  •  

  •  My favourite pate of the was making the lunch box challenge. This was fun because we got to choose what we can put in our own lunch.



My Next Steps:
