  1.   paper
  2.   banana
  3.   bread
  4.   stylophone
  5.   x4 test tube
  6.   x1 test tube holder
  7.     tube blocker
Steps:
  1.  Get the tube rack.
  2.   Put four test tubes in the rack.
  3.  Get the four things that you need.
  4.   Put the bread, banana, paper and stylophone in each tube.
  5.   Put the test tube blocker on top.

Conclusion:

The banana changed the most. It was rotting fast and it stinks It is also like a liquid at the bottom. The thing that was the same as the strat was the paper and the styrofoam. Both of them there the same that did not change at all. The bread changed but not lots. It was soft and was like cream on the top It did not change in colour but was rotting a little.

Hurumanu- climate change

DEFINITION: acid

What is happening to the oceans? It takes carbon dioxide out of the air.

What does this do to shellfish? They can not grow properly and can also not grow in the right form.

HOW DOES CLIMATE CHANGE CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACIDIFICATION OF OUR OCEANS? the ocean is sucking all the  carbon dioxide and makes it for acidy

DEFINITION: the action of clearing a wide area of trees.

What are trees used for? Trees provide them shelter from the weather and from enemies. Trees provide food in the form of fruits, nuts, leaves, bark, and roots. Even dead trees provide shelter and food for many insects.they also provide CO2.

HOW DOES DEFORESTATION AFFECT THE CLIMATE?

trees make oxygen also take away carbon dioxide.

ICE CAP MELT

ice melting DEFINITION: ice melting

If all the ice melted what would happen? The sea level goes higher and the beach will be gone.

  6.   If you spill something you should tell your teachers immediately.
  7.  You should wash your hands after ever experient activity

  9. Never taste or sniff chemicals.

In your group, discuss how the following scenarios could be dangerous.
  1. Not putting your bag under your desk.
  2. Running around in the laboratory.
  3. Not wearing shoes in a laboratory.
  4. Shaking a test tube with your thumb over its mouth?
How do we work in this laboratory?

  2. Equipment tray: equipment list and details.
  • Test tube - This is used for experiments using liquids. They have a bung that can be placed in the top. Test tubes sit in a test tube rack.
  • Conical Flask - This is used for experiments with liquid up to 150 ml. The flask has a rubber bung for the top and the glass is heatproof.
  • Glass Stirring rod - This is a 20cm glass rod used to stir and mix any liquids together.
  • Test tube tongs - These are used to hold a hot test tube after an experiment.
  • Spatula - This is for holding very small amounts of chemical powders.
  • Funnel - used to channel liquids into a smaller container.
  • Measuring Cylinder - This is used to measure liquids for experiments. The liquids will be poured into a beaker or test tube once measured out.

25-word poem

Hi, guys today for writing we did some writing about the poem. there were two types of poems. There was slam poems and 25-word poem. I did the 25-word poem. This is when there are 25 words and you make a poem out of it the words that the original poem used...

Light, ice, run, fly, float, white, mountain, witch, feather, blue, fast, past, snow, fall, puddles, bright, river, sunshine, burn, crusty, stars, water, sky,  black, beautiful

we also need to make a poem out of the words that were given. Here is my poem.Image result for words

Crusty snow fall
Star burns bright
White mountain
Feather float fast

Hurumanu-2040

Hi, guys today we watched a documentary about climate change and how it will change in 2040. In the movie, there was a man and his daughter she was only four years old and he was wondering what his daughter's future world be like.

what are the two things that I have learnt?
I have learnt they are making cars that are driving on its own.

I have also learnt that the world will change in a few years.

The last thing I have learnt is that brown seaweed can grow 50 cm a day

what I would like to see in 2040?
I would like to see all the houses on my road to being all solar powered.

Here is the trailer for this document.

art background

Hi, guys today for art we were making our background for our stop motions. We were also making our other characters. Today my group made the grey phenix and we put some detail on each thing. Here are our new objects and beck rounds.

clay art

hi guys today for art we were making our clay characters. I was making the orange phenix. Its name is flame. He is a fire type. The blue one is a water-type and its name is moonlight.some stuff that I found challenging is the start when we here still making the shape of the birds. Something that I liked when we were near the end because I knew what I was doing.

Hurumanu-Solar Energy

Aim: To find out which colour attracts the suns heat.
Here is some stuff that powered?
  1. robots
  2. light
  3. small toys
  4. NASA rover.
  5. R.C cars
  6. lime scooters
  7. cars
  8. satellites

Hypothesis:

I think that the white will attract the most heat because on soler panels the edges are white.

Materials:

  1. white cups
  2.   tin foil
  3.  black  plastic
  4.   heat lamp
  5. white paper
  6. thermometer
  7. water
  8. clear cup
  9. silver cup

Step

  1.  Put the three types of cups on a table evenly spread.
  2.   Put some water in each cup
  3. Plug the heat lamp and place it down on the table.
  4. After 15 min cheek the temperature of each cup by putting the thermometer in the water.
  5. Record the info until it hits 45 minutes.
  6. Record your findings.

Findings:

The black cup heated faster than the other ones. The white only heated up 2 degrees in 45 minutes. That is the same as the silver cup as the white one.

At the fifteen min mark, it was still the same they only went one up.
in the back round, there is the heat lamp. On the right is the white cup. In the middle, there is a black one. And last of all is the silver one. Here is a video

Conclusion

In conclusion, I found that the black cup heated faster than all the others. It heated to 22 degrees. Now, why is black heated faster than all the other colours? Soler pannals are black so that because it attracts the sun.  In hot countries, they paint there houses white because if it was balck it would be hot.

The white cup was tied with the tin foil at 18 degrees. I have learnt the darker colours heat faster. I also learnt that heat lamps can get very hot in short amounts of time. The colour black gets heated faster. This is why solar panels are a dark colour or black
