Hi, guys for the last few days we have been looking at the history of NZ and the Maori people and how they came here. I am looking at food and plants. We have reading lots of books about this and I will give you a slide that I did about what I am reading.

St Peters school

Hi, guys on Monday we found out that we are going to buddy up with another school from for school kit. We are going to send them some writing, poems and drawings. But first, we needed to find the school. We did that by our teacher gave us clues to narrow the place to make it easier.

 We also got a kit to help us with doing something fun. In our box, there are 3D glasses to look at the poster that came with it. There is also some postcards and more I think there will be fun doing this activates.

Weet-Bix

Hi, guys welcome back to my blog today our teacher told us to write a procedural piece of writing. We needed to write it about what we had for breakfast. Today for breakfast I had weet-bix. Here is my writing about how to make it.

Weet-bix

Materials

• Bowl
• Weet-bix
• Milk
• Sugar
• Some diced fruit
• Spoon

Ingredients 

• 2-3 Weet-bix
• One cup of milk
• Half a spoon of sugar
• A little bit of fruit

Steps

1. Get the and put around a cup of milk
2. Put the sugar in the bowl
3. and heat the milk  in the microwave
4. Take it out and put our weet-bix and fruit in.
5. Mix it and what about 2 mins
6.  And Enjoy

Conclusion

 When you take it out from where you are heating it be careful
that you do not burn your self If you want to make it better eat
it quickly so it is crunchy and not soggy.  Thank you.

The two questions were What are some ways we can work together in groups and what are some ways students in our class can support others learning? Tangata Whenua

Hi, guys welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to talk about how the Maori came to New Zealand. We had to watch a video that gave us facts. I have some to share here. Here is some.

1. The Maori came from South East Asia and Hawaiki.

2. The arrived here by WAKA.

3. They took with them dogs, kumara and around 25 waka.

4. They got most of their food from the sea.

5. The Maori did eat the moa and made clothes out of feathers and they all died.

6. The Maori stayed in NZ because it was bigger and had lots of food.

mars

Hi, guys welcome back to my blog today ME and my group did a poster about mars. In my group was Ty, Levi and I. we needed to get eight questions here they are.

Home room time

Hi, guys today we are making a poster about respect when you are talking to the teacher. We got into groups of three. In my group were EJ, Dylan and I. Here is the poster that we did. 

EJ just watched because he did not have a Chromebook. I and Dylan did most of it. 

The Martian

Hi, guy for the last couple of days we were watching a movie called The Martian. It is about someone getting stuck on Mars. I need to write a recount about this. Here it is.


They were going to mars to get samples of the dirt and rocks to take back to Earth. Soon after an unexpected storm was coming and they needed to leave. They were going back to the space ship when the storm arrived. It was going all fine when one of the astronauts got hit by a satellite and fell down a cliff. His name was Mark. The other astronauts had no hope of him surviving and did not want to risk another human.

Soon after they left and did not find the body. But he was not dead. He was alive but they had left them and had no way to contact them. He tried to look for the habitat that the last crew left behind. He saw something in the distance. It was Hab. There was lots of food but not enough to last him four years with is when they are coming back. There was enough food to last 64 days but that was for 6 people so he had 384 days with food.

 He tried to make water and grow food. he used his poo for fertiliser and grew potatoes. About a  year later the place that he was living in exploded that was the hab.and he was growing the food inside. All the crops died.

Soon after he found a pathfinder robot and we can talk to earth now. Also not he can send messages with his rover. about five months later we were travelling by the rover to get to the place where he can be blasted in to space so the crew and catch him and go back. He needed to do this quickly so he can be in time for the rocket to catch him.



Overall I liked the movie and I also learnt something in the movie. I Have leant to never give up even if it is hard. My favourite bit was when he was calculating how long would the food last . Have you ever watched this movie?
