FLIGHT

Aim: To learn about flight and aerodynamics.

  • In your groups of 3, you will make a paper plane and measure its distance and behaviour.
  • In groups of 3, you will make a water rocket and record its distance and behaviour.
Image result for flight forces

Definition:

aerodynamics is a way that stuff fly and the way they go up.

4 forces of flight:

  1. lift
  2. drag
  3. thrust
  4. gravity

Paper Plane:

Material:

1. paper
2. ruler

Steps:

1. make the plane.
2. fly it  .
3. and see how far it goes.

: We found out that the one with the paper clip was the one that went the longest and the first plane went the closest to the start. And finally Ailerons plane did ok but not as good.

Plane Type
Distance
Behaviour
Normal
2.4 curves to the left side

Ailerons
4.1
went up and back down
Paper clip
5.0
 curves to the right side

Conclusion: Overall, I think this was a fun and cool but because it was fun making g the planes and fun to see how it changes. Also how it flew in the air. The normal plane flew 2.4 mitres and it carved to the side. The plane with The ailerons flew 4.1 mitres and it flew strat. The last plane flew 5 mitres.

carbon dioxide.

Aim: To see which chemical
the mix creates the most gas.

Hypothesis: (What do I think will happen) I think that the vinegar will make more gas. The balloons will blow up because the gases make carbon dioxide.

Materials:
  1.  balloon
  2.  bottle
  3.  salt
  4.  baking soda
  5.  vinegar
  6.  soda water
Steps:
  1.   get the two bottles and two ballons.
  2.  get the vinegar and soda into two different bottles.
  3.  get the ballon and put the baking soda or salt.
  4.  attach it to the bottle.
  5.  tip the baking soda from the balloon to the bottle
  6.   now you can watch and take photos. Have fun.
My images:

Balloon 1
( 3 tsp baking soda, ½ cup vinegar)
Balloon 2
( 3 tsp salt, ½ cup soda)

Balloon Size (cm)
4cm3cm
Bubbles
(small, medium, large)
the bubbles there so smallthe bubbles there so small even smaller than the one with vinegar
When baking soda and a cup of vinegar is mixed it creates bubbles and when bubbles are made it can make carbon dioxide. This is the same with salt. when you add soda and salt the same thing happens. It creates carbon dioxide.

100 word challenge

Hi, guys today we needed to write A 100-word challenge. In The 100 word, we needed to have your sentence But it is the wrong colour here is my 100-word challenge.

One morning when the sun was rising I was still sleeping in my soft bed. My Dad woke me up.
He said, “Get dressed before you Mum and sister wake up."
I asked, “Why?"
He said, “I will tell you in the car.”

Now we are going to get a dog for you and your sister. When we arrived at the animal shelter, we went and looked at baby German shepherds. In the end, we got a puppy that was black and brown. When we got home. My sister looked at the dog cool but it is the wrong colour!

Skittles

Skittles

Aim: To separate colours from skittles by using the chromatography.

Definition: Chromatography is a method of separating out materials from a mixture.

Eg. blood, ink, drugs,

Materials

1. Green skittle.

2. Yellow skittle.
3. Two red skittles.
4. One purple skittle.
5. Orange skittle.
6. Petrie dish.
7. Water.

Process:

Step 1: Get the Petrie dish.

Step 2: Put All six skittle in the Petrie dish.
Step 3: Spread the skittles out evenly in the edge of the dish.
Step 4: Put some water to the top of the Petrie dish.
Step 5: Step away and watch it make colour
Step 6: at the end of the experiment you can eat the skittles.

Conclusion:

I really liked this skittle experiment because it was cool seeing all the colours expand and take over other colours. chromatography  is then you use water to wash or make colour disappear. I have learnt that skittles can work in a lot of stuff even experiments. Thank you all for reading my blog. Have a nice day.

water color.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Definition: Chromatography is a method of separating out materials from a mixture.

Scenario
A crime has been committed. The police have a signed cheque and a letter from the same crime scene but it seems like the handwriting is different. They have 3 suspects but not enough evidence. They need to know if the letter and the cheque were written by the same person.

Rainbow paper

Materials;

1.  filter paper /chromatography paper
2. water.
3. pencil.
4. water-based felt pen. I  used purple and blue colours.
5. ruler.
6. cup.

Process:

Step 1: Get the filter paper
Step 2: Get the ruler and rule a line and the bottom at 1cm long.
Step 3: Make two dots with the water-based felt pens on the line.
Step 4: Fold the paper to make it hang on the cup so it is not touching the bottom.
Step 5: Pour some water in the cup.
Step 6: Watch its colour.
Conclusion: Overall this was a cool experiment. I learned that colour and water can go up to filter paper. I  also liked this because it was easy and also fun watching it water go up.

how to play football.

That is it for today and that how to play football it is easy but it is a fun game .
