SLJ week 1, day 4 activity 1: INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS

Hi guys today is the fouth day of the SLG. That stands for the summer learning journey. The purpose of it is for when you back to school from the big holiday your reading and writing does not drop in level. If you do not do the SLJ in the summer the stuff that you did through the year you will need to do all of it again.

DAY 4: INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS

Activity 1: Making a Racket [4 points]
Billie Jean KingVenus Williams, and Serena Williams are three exceptional, female tennis players. They are not only outstanding athletes and some of the best tennis players in the world, but they have fought for women to be recognised as equals to men in the game of tennis. Billie Jean King famously beat a male tennis player, Bobby Riggs, in 1973, to prove to the public that women could compete at any level in tennis.

Serena
 and Venus Williams.
My blog, I need to tell you three things that I learned from watching these videos, as well as one thing I would still like to know. Here is my presentation.

  1. Mōrena David,

Mikey here. Congratulations on completing another activity! I can see that you've been very busy. :)

You've shared some great information about the Williams sisters, David. I like how you included information about both of them. They're very talented, aren't they? Do you like tennis?
I'm not sure how old they are now but I did learn from another Summer Learning Journey blogger that Serena was only 3 years old when she first started playing. Isn't that amazing?! No wonder she'd so good.

Have a lovely day David and keep up the awesome blogging!

    Merry Christmas. :)

    Mikey
