SLJ week 1, day 4 Activity 2: What’s in a Name?

Hi, guys, today is the fourth day of the SLG. That stands for the summer learning journey. The purpose of it is for when you back to school from the big holiday your reading and writing does not drop in level. If you do not do the SLJ in the summer the stuff that you did through the year you will need to do all of it again.

Activity 2: What’s in a Name? [4 points]
Muhammad Ali was one of the greatest boxers of all time. He started boxing when he was 12 years old and went on to become the World Heavyweight Champion numerous times in the 1960s and 1970s.
Muhammad Ali was an African American man born with the name Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. When he was a young man, however, he became a Muslim and converted to Islam. When he converted, he changed his name to Muhammad Ali. During his life, Ali gave a lot of time and money to various charities. He also helped to feed more than 22 million people across the world who didn’t have enough food. Despite all of his charitable work, Muhammad Ali is still best known for his aggressive boxing style, his confident personality and his inspirational quotes.
Changing your name is a big deal! If you were to change your name, what would you change it to?

For this activity,  I need to imagine that I was allowed to change my name to anything that I wanted.
On my blog,  I need to tell you what I would change my name to and why I would choose that name. Here it is.

  1. Hey David,

    Mikey here again. :)

Awesome poster! I like how you've made the background the same colours as Messi and Ronaldo's teams - very clever. :) Would you change your name to their first names (Lionel or Cristiano)? Or is it the last names that you like?

Keep up the great blogging. I look forward to reading more of your posts soon. :)

    Bye for now,

    Mikey
